The MENAFATF Plenary elects from amongst its members; the President and Vice President with expertise in the areas of combating money laundering and terrorist financing who will remain in the position for one year, provided that the President and Vice President are not from the same country. The current President is Mr. Samir Brahimi, General Manager, Legal, Regulation & Audit Affairs, the Central Bank of Tunisia, and Secretary General of the Tunisian Committee for Financial Analysis. The Vice President for 2010 is Mr. Abdelmadjid Amghar, the President of Cellule de Traitement du Renseignement Financier (CTRF), the Algerian FIU. The current Executive Secretary who will remain in the position for four years is Mr. Adel Hamad Al Qulish from Kingdom of Saudi Arabia. The Secretariat is headquartered in the Kingdom of Bahrain. 

 
 

  
  
  
 

Mr. Adel Al Qulish has been elected since the end of 2004 to be the first Executive Secretary for MENAFATF, He is currently leading the MENAFATF Secretariat which is located in the Kingdom of Bahrain. Mr. Al Qulish began his working career in the private sector in Saudi Arabia and later joined the Saudi Arabian Monetary Agency at the Banking Control. Mr. Al Qulish holds a Master degree in International Financial Management from the UK.
